from the grimm's fairy tale: "THE JUNIPER TREE" i created a blighter for my sister to play D&D with us. I've seen many versions of her name and the song the phoenix sings, but this is always the same: Her mother tricks her into thinking that it was her fault that her brother died. (the mother actually murdered him) So to cover up the crime, the mother cooks him and they all eat him (except marjorie who just sits at the table and cries). After dinner, Marorie gathers her brother's bones and buries them under the juniper tree. A golden phoenix is birthed from the bones.
In my version... Marjorie goes crazy from grief and her brother's soul is a raven, not a phoenix. She wanders the land spreading disease and drought, never blinking and cackling at her evil ways. yet she always cries, no matter how much fun she has spreading the misery around, her eyes NEVER stop crying. She's nut's. When i don't draw for a while i start experimenting with PS and things get gaudy. please forgive the bright colors texture from :Sirius-sdz: |
